Outstanding business opportunities have caused Dakota Hendrickson to put the 2019 racing season on hold for now.
Dakota graduated from Creighton University's Heider College of Business this past December, double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Dakota completed his degree a semester ahead of schedule and was on the Dean's List each semester he was at Creighton.
Upon graduation Dakota has moved to Kansas City and is working with partners starting a new firm in the nano-fiber, filtration business.
Dakota said, "I love sprint car racing and hope to return to the driver's seat soon, but the travel and time demands of this new, exciting, business opportunity are simply occupying all of my time and energy. My racing goal is not to race as a hobby, and right now I simply can't pursue both and do justice to either one. This new business is truly an exceptional opportunity and I owe it to my partners and investors to give it my focused attention."
Dakota has been traveling extensively. He said, "One of our largest clients is headquartered in Europe. Our business in the U.S. is varied with operations and clients from coast to coast. I spent most of the February working on my private pilots license, in order to take advantage of the private planes our firm has."
He continued, "We will be making more announcements about our products and services in the very near future. I am really excited about the direction we are headed."
