Dakota Hendrickson kicked off Southern Iowa Speed week in an impressive fashion with a dominant performance in Heat #2 at the Front Row Challenge at Oskaloosa Speedway Monday night. Dakota led every lap posting a best lap time 3/10ths faster than any other competitor. Hendrickson took the checkers moments before Kyle Larson clipped an implement tire and flipped in turn 4 coming to the flag stand. Hendrickson was followed across the finish line by Brad Sweet, Brent Marks, Sammy Swindell, Brian Brown, Sheldon Haudenschild, Jason Solwold, Bob Weuve, and Kyle Larson.
"I want to thank Terry McCarl for the $550 Heat purse and all the special goodies that came with winning Heat #2!" said Hendrickson. "Unfortunately, we missed the set up in the feature and ran 19th or so, but it felt good to be fast early on" Dakota remarked.
