PETERSEN MEDIA: Dakota Hendrickson and the Van Dyke Motorsports team put together one of the best weekends they have had together over the weekend, as the Omaha, NE driver scored two top-10 finishes.

“We seem to have this car really working right now, and I am starting to make less mistakes behind the wheel,” Hendrickson said.

Taking on the Nebraska 360 Series on Friday night at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE, Hendrickson would draw the front row for his heat race, and go on to pick up the win aboard the Lucas Oil/K&N Products/JRI Shocks backed No. 5h, moving him directly into the night’s feature event.

Finding himself on the front row for the feature event, Hendrickson would slip back as the race went green as he found himself racing wheel-to-wheel with drivers like Jonathan Cornell, and Jon Agan.

Keeping his machine safely in the Top-10 as things spread out, Hendrickson would settle into the seventh spot, as he would feel pressure from Jake Martens, and Trevor Grossenbacher.

Able to hold his spot, Hendrickson would take the checkered flag with his first Top-10 finish of the season, as he would finish in the seventh position.

Making the trip to the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night for more 360ci action, Hendrickson would time the NAAKE Suspension/FSR Radiators backed machine in 18th fastest in time trials before winning his second heat race of the weekend.

Lining up 14th in the feature event, Hendrickson had a very strong racecar, and showed it early as he worked his way forward through the field. Running very strong on the historic half-mile facility, Hendrickson would get by Matt Moro and Jamie Ball to work into the seventh spot as the 20-lap feature came to a close.

Chasing after Calvin Landis for the sixth spot late in the race, Hendrickson would close his weekend out in the Van Dyke Motorsports machine with his second seventh place finish of the weekend.

“It felt really good to grab a couple of Top-10’s with how our season has been,” Hendrickson added. “We have a big weekend on tap, and I can’t wait to get back racing with this team.”

The Van Dyke Motorsports team would like to thank Lucas Oil, K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, FSR Radiators, for their support during the year.

ON TAP: Hendrickson and the Van Dyke Motorsports team will be in action on Thursday night at the Iowa State Fairgrounds with the Sprint Invaders, at the Huset’s Speedway on Friday night with the National Sprint League, and back at the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night.
